1994 Jeep grand Cherokee sport overheating

Hi we have replaced the thermostat &  radiator flushed no leaks. Checked
hoses & coolant. It's a 4 litre sport 4wd

Forgot to add- the overheating only seems to happen when doing a sustained hill climb, for example on the highway.

Is it really overheating like smokin' hot? Or are you just getting a false reading from a bad temperature sending unit. Also, does this Jeep have an electric fan that's not coming on. Or a thermostatic fan not coming on?
