I have a 1992 jeep Cherokee that has a straight 6 normal but when i change motors what should i put in there?

put a 4bt cummins in there, many people do it on older jeeps.

Well it depends on two things money and what kind of experience you have. If it were me I would either just put in another 4.0 or rebuild my existing one and make it into a 4.6 or 4.7 stroker

the straight six is bulletproof, and there are a lot of things you can do. Port, polish, blueprint, chip, bigger exhaust, intake, and if you really need some ponies, throw a supercharger on there.
