GMC Yukon 2015 ran out of gas and now wont start

You may have killed the fuel pump. Try to listen for the fuel pump hum when you first turn on the key.

Running out of gas is the most likely cause for a dead fuel pump. The gas in the tank cools the pump. When you run low, you overheat the pump and it also starts sucking in all the crud at the bottom of the tank. Check for fuel pump operation when you turn the key. If you don't hear the 2-second fuel pump prime cycle, check the fuel pump fuse. Also check for battery power at the fuel pump during prime cycle.
