Ford Crown Victoria LTD 1989

Asked by CamaroGuru8492 Feb 16, 2018 at 10:35 AM about the 1989 Ford Crown Victoria

Question type: Car Customization

I plan to purchase a 1988-1990 Ford Crown
Victoria LTD here soon, and I was gonna do a
engine swap for the 5.8l Police Package. The Ford
AOD 4 speed sucks in my 90 Grand Marquis (so It
is a given it will suck in the crown vic) Any one
know of a good Automatic Transmission I could
swap into the CV. I was looking at a Ford 6r AT, but
I have no idea. Any tips, or Transmission names
would be awesome.

Big fan of the 5.8/351W, and you won't have any problem finding a better trans to put behind it, maybe a C4, C6, or even a toploader. Check out Crownvic.net, they have a dedicated forum for 1979-1991 "boxes"
