Oil pressure sending unit maybe going bad .if you can hook up mechanical oil pressure gauge that will tell you the pressure.
Oil was recently changed 10 days ago. Then the alarm went off on an extended trip. Went back to lube place. I made them verify it had oil It was a half a quart low. The screen reading said "no information available for oil level. New oil was in the car and after 1 hour drive it sounded. Is a half a quart low mean it's burning oil? 45000 miles ?
take your car to the nearest audi dealer your car is still covered under warranty there is no reason for it to be loosing oil. Check under the car for leaks and if there is none then your car has an internal leak check your antifreeze for signs of oily substance in the reservoir.
Possible oil pick up tube contamination remove oil pan to inspect use brand name oils and filter only
My sons 2006 Audi A4 turbo was giving intermittent oil warning lites. On and then of. Very unnerving. We could not find anything wrong with the car. A blog said it might be a defective relay. Changed that ,no luck. Then the car started squealing for a second or two when it was turned off. We consulted a crusty old mechanic with extensive history on forien cars. He said it could be caused by a vacume in the crank case. Sure enough when we tried to take the oil filler cap of with the engine running it wouldn't budge. With the engine off it came off normally. I started the car and my son put his hand over the oil filler cap hole. Almost sucked the blood thru his skin. I had to shut the car off to get his hand loose. The mechanic said it was probably a bad PVC valve. We took the PVC valve off and found there was a part of the valve that was missing. After replacing the PCV valve the problem was solved. The high vacuum in the crank was fighting the oil pump pressure and may have been causing other problems. Cost of the fix was $50.00 for the PCV valve plus 30 minutes labor.
I previously had a 2007, notorious for this very issue. Through a bit of research, we learned that (I believe it was 2007's and 08's) all Audi's in that time frame had bad oil pressure pumps.(recall was refused by Audi, and a $3000 repair at the dealer). When you drove for more than an hour, boom, oil pressure light came on. We went with a heavier weight oil, and through trial and error, learned that if you drive in sport mode, with the higher rpms, light comes on less frequently. I'm sad to see this is about a 2015, I've been looking to get a newer model, but this has me rethinking. :(
Thanks vacuum man l will ask my mechanic to inspect the pcv valve like you did fingers crossed my case would be like yours.
Hi Vacuumman, it's been 10 months since you offered your solution to this red oil light problem.l"m experiencing the same on my 2005 a4 after full service. Could you please update me If the oil light problem had happened again on your vehicle since you've changed the PCV valve?? Thanks
Audi vw /nissan and ford have compitaion who make shit junk car
New engine compleat map sensor new turbo solve problem ?rebulit -new head timing chain crank pully nead spacial tool same problem note engine block
Auidi a4 turbo 4 cylinder engine blocks
I have a Audi a4 my oil pressure light came on and big rack out the back put it to a a garage they said it needed a new turbo so got it put in and every light was on dash when I picked it up didn't even do 6miles n new turbo blow so it's running in limp mode so clearly it wasnt the turbo that was wrong to start with what cud it be the garage won't refund me and takin no responsibility for it
I would look into some legal actions on that matter but if it has no oil pressure its likely the pump either due to failure or clogging. they hosed you for a new turbo cause they knew how expensive the repair is. I would advise finding a speciality shop that deals only in vw's and audi's

Hey just had the same issue on my 2014 Audi. I was 1000 miles away from oil change when i got the low oil pressure warning. My check engine light came on and went to get an oil change just to be sure and the light remained on. My Audi was still drivable so i took it to the Audi dealer a few days later and the oil separator was what prompt the check engine light. The job was about 500 dollars and my car is now running perfectly. I only spent 50 on my due to a warranty and had another oil change performed. Key note: Audi has a one time use washer on lower drain plug make sure it’s being replaced on every oil change if service was performed thru lower drain plug.
I just bought an Audi 2002 A4 1.8 something sedan and just took it for a like 30-minute test drive and the oil pressure light came on and said to pull the car over immediately so I did. Also the coolant light came on as well. the NRMA guy said it couldn't either be too late and the engine could be already damage because when I was driving it in cos automatic it was a bit sluggish in low low gear but on normal driving it was ok but yeah basically those oil oil pressure lights and the other lights came on and I'm hoping it's just a fuse or an oil pump or something I'm not sure what to do. in your experience with the 2002 a false is it likely to be a faulty sensor or do you think the engines ruined or do I need a new pump please help me guys... I have only one K left so I already spent $4,000
