RPM KEEP EXCELLERATING

I have a 2015 Chevy Cruz when I let off my pedal  to slow down my rpm's keep accelerating but my car is slowing down.  My Check engine light is on.  Any info on this would be helpful.

The check engine light is trying to tell you something. Have it scanned for free at an auto parts store and fix accordingly.

I have took it to 2 different ones and they both said different things one said timing chain and one said a sensor

Cam shaft actuator was unplugged now it sounds and runs great they did say transmission was wrong color wanted me to take it to a transmission shop to have it looked at
