I dont have any experience working on BMW's. Afraid to buy, because I understand that the BMW x5 are the most expensive to repair of all luxury cars in the same group. I love the look.... also which year of the BMW X5 is the most reliable?

I would not want to work on a new BMW. If you can't afford BMW dealer shop rates buy a different car or buy a really good warranty.

BMW vehicles have more than their share of issues and these issues are very expensive to repair. Either buy one with a factory supported warranty or lease one. Be prepared for it to be in the service department a few times a year. I too like the look of the BMWs, but I likely would never buy one.

All that fine German engineering comes at a cost. I would love to own a M3 or M5 but I cannot afford the upkeep which is a lot more than other cars so I pass.
