Rough idling and car won't accelerate

Hello my fiancé just replaced the starter in
our 2002 Kia Rio the car now starts but
idles really bad and now won't accelerate
when put into drive what could be the
problem?

has nothing to do with the starter he replaced, I would check the cam sensor and also give the throttle body a good cleaning with a throttle body cleaner. You may want to check and or change your fuel filter.

I we checked that the car is stalling out now when trying to go forward and reverse
