Dim dashboard lights

Question type: General

Only when I turn my headlights off is when
my dashboard lights appear/are bright. When
I switch them to Auto or on with the signal
light knob, they turn dim to where I
practically can’t see them, especially during
the day. When I drive at night with my
headlights on, I can’t see any of my
dashboard because it’s so dim. Seems as
though the internal parts has something
wrong with it to wear the settings are
switched. Any ideas?

The button you push on the instrument cluster (the one that shows the mileage, trip A and B), twist that clockwise to increase brightness

When in park with the car running and lights off. How do I get my dashboard light to turn off or dim? Is that even possible?
