Engine Overheating
I have a 2016 Hyundai Elantra and i was parked at work and all of a sudden i noticed that the engine overheating light came on. I quickly turned of the car. This should not be happening. Ideas.

Could be a lot of things, Should get it back to the dealer. Should be under warranty.
Thanks my concern is that during the winter a large sheet of ice fell on my front driver side of the hood and cause a dent. Could this possible cracked something and causing it to overheat. All the fluids are full and i just had an oil change in the last few weeks and nothing was called out and being a problem or a leak.
No, sounds like this is just happening, your coolant is full so there is something going on with the cooling system. Unless the fans are not turning on now.
Well i just ran the car for about thirty minutes and i did not hear the fan kick on. The temperature gauge only went to just under the half way mark. I do not know if this is due to the car being idle or when it is driving. I have about a thirty minute drive so hopefully i will be ok
