2016 town and country sliding door won't close

My sliding door closes but it does not lock in. It
keeps making a noise like it is trying to.

Were you ever able to figure out this issue. I have a 2015 that does the same thing, but only when the temperatures are hot outside. thanks in advance

I'm having the same exact issues on my 2015. Only when it's hot outside. Mornings and evenings are fine but by mid day it happens. Now its causing the car alarm to go off. Anyone have any answers?
