If I used the power port to charge a tablet or portable DVD player could the 12v charger over heat and cause a fire?

Desperately need g info on power port and any info regarding g 12v chargers
due to a fire in my 2016 Nissan versa

My 2016 Nissan Versa that I bought new. Had less than 5000 miles. Sat parked for 5 hours. Then caught fire and burned. The fire started in the center dash area. Where my radio and heat/air is. Nissan says I overloaded the circuit charging a portable DVD player. I had a 12v phone charger plugged into the power port which is located between the seats not in the dash area. And an overloaded circuit caused the fire. I don't think so.
