Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can open the glove compartment but when I close it, it feels like something is
keeping the door from closing completely. I can get it to close if I PUSH really
hard.

Feel behind the glove compartment or remove it and see what the problem is.

I can't feel anything behind the glove compartment....what I can feel, I do not feel anything blocking the closure.

On some cars there is a catch which will allow the glove box to open up all the way so that you can see behind it.

I found instructions on how to remove it to get to air conditioner filter. I will try that tomorrow.

I was able to release the glove compartment and found the front of the air conditioner filter box had broken off and was restricting the closure of the glove front. I was able to DUCT tape the piece back into place and replace glove compartment. I think they changed my filter on last service. I will check...and then get a new front filter cover put in. Thanks for all the suggestions and help!

is there a filter or something that fits behind the small door on the actual glove box 2014 prius. It appears that something should slide into a frame.
