My question has to do with the inside lights when the door is open. There is a spring that when pushed inward the lights come on - this spring just fell out. How do you stop it from falling out?

Where is the spring located. I'm confused. On older model vehicles there was a switch for the interior lights when the door was opened. They're usually near the hinge. But, when the switch was depressed the lights sould go off (door closed).
