are there any problems with this vehicle in general? Is it known to be a
lemon?

The 318 is a tried and true engine that was made for many, many years. I don't know that your Dodge was any worse than other American cars of that era.

Heck no, cool van, good motor, the trany is ok but I would have it serviced, fluid & filter change, and I believe the bands can be adjusted, (tightened up).
