Have seen alot of blend door actuators bad on these models.the blend door mixes hot and cold air or it can seal off the hot from cabin of car.hope this helps
had to bleed mine several times to get all the air out the heater bleed valve nedds to have a full stream of anti freeze coming out and when they say full they mean full, not just trickling out

this affects the actuator somehow....confused?
the 2005 ls has no blend doors.the ls heat and air is contolled by the heater control or dccvalve opeinng and closing. anti freeze controls the temp.if you replace a broken dccv you must get ALL the air out of the system for it to work properly
here's a link to the bleeding instructions, you can start at heat on mazx on both sides and heater bleed valve open, you need a full stream coming out for it to be air free not just a trickle http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/tech/Lincoln-LS/CoolingSystemDraining/
I have a 2001 Lincoln LS V6 and can't find the actuator on passengers side. Any help out there
