Lincoln Presidential Town Car Cloth/Vinyl Roof Cleaning & Maintenance?

I'm a new owner of a nice used Town Car that has the fiberglass shell roof feature,
which simulates the appearance of a convertible.

I have no idea how to properly maintain this and I'm actually unsure what the exact
material it is made of is. I had another Town car which had this same roof, and it was
horribly discolored looking, with many tiny rips, in bad shape when I bought that car.

This Lincoln which I recently purchased has the same type roof. However it still looks
new and great condition. I sure do not want it to get ruined. I can't find clear info on
what I should do with this roof to protect it. What protectant do I use? What do I clean
it with? What should I never, ever do to the roof?

Thanks for ANY tips.

First of all keep it in a garage. Check out Meguiar's products.

Thank you. I do not have a garage and cannot move at this time. I was thinking I should buy a waterproof car cover.
