Tongue weight for 2017 subaru outback
2 Answers
20 pounds is not a big deal but keep in mind that how you load the trailer will change the tongue weight and the total trailer weight. Loading up your Outback with stuff in the back is pretty much the same thing as adding tongue weight but never allow the tongue weight to be too low as your trailer will become unstable. Outbacks are not the best choice in a tow vehicle so take it easy.

We've been around this topic a bit already, so check other threads. My preference is for keeping tongue weight down around 100lbs, and total load max 1500lbs because of the new OB's too softly sprung already and to protect the CVT.
