my 94 tempo 2.3L will start and run ok when cold but as the engine gets to normal operating temp it starts to missfire and dies

If the engine runs toward the hot side could that cause it to missfire on a cylinder?

Some components are effected by heat. How old are the spark plugs, wires and air filters? That would be a good place to start. Check your coolant level too.
