When sitting in park the temp. Have goes
up 3/4 of the way to HOT before I either
turn it off or go up the road to cool it off
before I red line.

sorry, don't know the location of the relay, but I can tell you, check the fuses also, and the coolant temp sensor. also, unplug the fan itself and put 12 volts to it with a jumper wire to make sure it even works.
