Why does CG advertise erroneous info about listed autos? When contacting
remote dealers they say your 3rd party info is incorrect and they won't adhere
to your advertised details.

CG doesn't place the ads, they might have ballpark numbers for loans, and ratings, but the ad is all the dealers info.
So beware those dealers as they maybe trying the old bait and switch on vehicles.

Please explain how "bait and switch" would apply. The dealer says they've asked you to change info on their ad and you have not.
To get you there using wrong information then try pressuring you into another vehicle. It is up to the dealer to change information.
Cargurus has no control over what Dealers or private people put in their ads. Most times a Dealer will put a boiler plate page in the ad claiming that the vehicle is fully equipped, when it's not! They also list the prices, not Cargurus. But Dealers are very good at the blame game! Claiming that they didn't put the price on the vehicle, when, in fact, they did! Think of it this way, when you post an ad for something on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or Ebay, who puts the price and description in the ad? You do. It's the same with Cargurus. Hope that helps! Jim
