I have a C Max, they told me not to jump other cars, (if it is a Hybrid ) many newer cars that have a lot of electronics recommend not to jump, or get jumped one wrong spark and it is off to the Shop, contact your Ford dealer most will answer your questions, C Max does have a contact under the hood so you can connect to jumpers, just be very carful! it has a plastic cap on it you can find it in your owners man

also if you are useing the contact under the hood there is no neg, there is a metal sticking up, and you clamp the neg to that Pos to the contact the bat is not under the hood like most cars the bat that starts your car is under the rear floor, you have 2 bat, one for your hybrid in the bumper, then a normal Bat you get to it by taking out that little storage tray warning never take out the Bat unless you keep a tender or something to keep it alive make sure you have the code incase you lost connection, and know what you are doing and if you are going to go look for the bat check the water in the Bat low water is the bigest reason for failure, no one checks it

I use a little rechargeable USB device rather than my CMax to do jumps. Works fine but you do need to remember to recharge after each use.
