Intake gaskets are going. Get them replaced ASAP before they pump coolant into the block. I just had the same problem. Gaskets were $14 each. Make sure you do both. Good time to check your compression while you're at it, 'eh?

On our 90 town car, great pickup until overdrive. The car would jerk ,thought the transmission was slipping. Fix was plug wire. 2yrs.later same jerk only little worse.. Had to visit Ford dealer. After a full day they narrowed it to the distributor, and that's what the problem was. The distributor lasted 205k. Dick
