I have a Mazda MPV 2002, oil pressure light came on when car is at idle, engine warm. Now the light comes on when car is warm and i am below 3000 rpm. No knocking or running issues.

I recently had the same trouble on my 2000 mpv oil light flashing until rpms passed 1000 this was due to the positive battery cable need to be replaced because it could not be tightened enough to make good connection and was causing severe power loss as at idle.
