Alternator not working/ not charging

Asked by Vina Jul 03, 2017 at 12:41 AM about the 2001 Mazda MPV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok, so when my Mazda MPV engine is running all
three indicator lights (Automatic Transmission,
Alternator and ABS lights) come on meaning they
arent working. But Ive checked the ABS and its
perfectly fine, what could be the cause of this??
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Might mean they are not getting the correct working voltage and causing an error code. Would hook up an obd, see if any codes are present, check voltage out of alternator when operating or pull off and take to auto parts store for testing. Your choice there. If it is a faulty alternator sometimes you can replace the brush pack inside without buying a whole new coconut. Happy 4th and Good Luck1
