This is the wrong year model and recall. Recall number 18365 is for a 2019 Buick encore airbag, not a 2018 panel cluster. I am having the same problem and I am looking for a resolution.

Yes, this happened to me today. I called the dealer and this was his answer... It’s just the Computer doing weird things, a glitch. They are just big computers on wheels. Nothing to worry about. If it stays on then call.

This happened to me about 3 times while driving at night. Very scary. Any solutions?

2018 Buick Encore Preferred here. This has happened 2 times within 2 weeks at the end of April and beginning of May 2022. The dealership I went to said they have heard of this, but in their opinion it was a reset glitch that can be ignored since it resolved itself and did not affect driving. 3 days later I had my battery and alternator inspected. No issues were detected. Incidentally, before this happened I topped off my gas tank and noticed that my gas gauge was not moving after a bit of driving. Assuming it was stuck, I reset the ODM and followed the gauge reset instructions I got off Google. I have not had a diagnostic performed because It was pricey and did not want to wait an hour or make an appointment. Also, my cell was plugged in and I'm not sure if Android Auto may have played a part in this incident. And there was an issue with my coolant being low prior to this on my last oil change.

This happened to me twice on a long road trip over this past weekend. All of the lights on the dash lit up, then everything including the dial gauges and speedometer went to zero, and then everything returned to normal. I was also using Android Auto, but just prior to the trip we had the car serviced at the dealership. It was REALLY freaky to have happen when you're driving on the highway, or in the back woods of Northern Florida! "Just a glitch" is not a great answer either. Yikes!

This happen to me this morning on my way to work. I have a 2017 Buick Envision Essence. This is the second time. My husband think it may be my alternator.
