check engine light shows an error P0106 what does this mean

,P0106 code is for MAP ,manifold absolute pressure ,sensor. This code can set for several reasons ,could be a bad sensor or poor contact at connector also check wiring for opens and shorts .could also be internal fault in the ECM ,engine control module, some mazda use mass air flow sensor for the info check for plugged or dirty air filter or dirty mass air flow sensor and make sure all air tubes and vacuum line are connected ,secure and not leaking

i replaced the sensor and the check engine light on and off for a week then is on constantly . what harm am i doing?
