Buzzing noise

Asked by GuruLPMT4 Apr 22, 2019 at 12:50 AM about the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased this vehicle in Sept.  About 2 months ago a buzzing noise started.
It seems to be coming from the around the door frame, passenger side
second row.  It is most noticeable when coming to a stop, sitting parked or at
low speeds, however I can also occasionally hear it when driving on the
freeway.  It is not a constant noise - and the pitch or tone is deep sounding,
my phone will not record the noise.  Any ideas?

My 2001 ford expedition makes same noise. Went to auto zone and was told my radio is causing a short and it us draining my battery. I looked up the correct fuse under the dash and pulled it. Next morning battery was not drained and car started. It us possible if you don't replace the radio this possible short will begin to drain your battery and car will not start til you jump the battery. Either that or use a circuit tester to check the radio wires and back audio control if you have one. Google how to replace a radio for your car and buy a radio on Amazon which may be lower price. Hope this helps. Also, you might check your radio fuses under your dash might be possible cause. Pull the fuse out and if it is broken in the middle, the fuse is blown or use circuit tester on the fuse.
