Bait and switch scam?

Twice I have set up appointments showed up after
extensive travel to find out the car sold hours before I
arrived. Last time I use this CarGurus something not right
the old bait and switch is all this site good for

Cargurus is an ad site and doesn't guarantee anything on the ad, including the price. Any dealer will sell a car if they have a buyer. The early bird gets the worm. The only way a seller will hold a vehicle today is if you put a deposit on it. The used car market is hot like everything else today.
Helpful information to Buyers and Dealerships when people are traveling long distance to test drive please ask them to hold the car. Place a deposit make sure Sales Manager is aware of your intent. Hopefully this will save people disappointment and money.
