993 Ford Tempo heater does not get hot

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have searched for an answer elsewhere and can't find one.

I have a 1993 Ford Tempo that has a heater that does not blow hot air. I have flushed
the Heater core, and have checked both ends of the radiator and the hoses get hot.
My next step is to replace the thermostat. Does anyone have any other ideas?

A little more information. If I turn the air off and let it sit for a minute, I can turn on the
air, and the first few seconds it is hot, But then it goes cold.

You might just have air in the system. Or the heater door is not opening. Or your thermostat is stuck open.
