My 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis has a toggle switch with a foot on brake pedal
My 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis has a mystery toggle switch with a foot on brake pedal icon on it beside and to the left of the the traction control switch. No indicator comes on or goes off when it is switched. The owners manual does not even show this switch to explain what it does. The car does have ABS and traction control. So what does this mystery switch do, and which way is it "on" ???

That switch make de pedals(brake and gas) go up and down
Should adjust the floor pedals forwards & backwards. Put you foot on the brake & hit the switch one way or the other & feel if the pedal moves. If not, you have something wrong somewhere along the line, but if the pedals are in a comfortable position for you, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
That just Controls the gas pedal if I put it all the way down the car has less power if I raise the pedal all the way up it adds a lot more to the gas pedal at least on my car it does I have a grand Marquis I have a toggle switch down by the gas pedal not to sure what that is ?
If only the gas pedal moves then there is a problem . Both pedals should move . Under the dash above the pedals there is an electric motor that moves the brake pedal . It turns a plastic gear . That gear is probably cracked or broken . You can remove the motor and turn the gear by hand to adjust the pedal if it is not in a comfortable place for you .
