Question type: General
Was driving down the road, car was running good then died. Changed fuel
pump, filter & cam sensor. Checked inertia switch. Getting fuel to rail & fire to
plugs. Checked all fuses. When cranking it over it will make a whistling noise
sometimes. Any & all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

timing belt/chain ? take the oil fill cap off and see if the rockers are moving when you crank the engine . Some vehicles are particular about fuel pressure , just having it won't do .
Thanks for the tips. Rocker arms are moving and check fuel pressure with gauge and it within specs. Still trying to troubleshoot it. Thanks again beatupchevy!

are the injectors firing ? If you pour some gas in the throttle will it fire up ?
I'm really aggravated & confused! Still can't get the car to start! It cranks over great but won't hit. Put fuel pump & filter in. Getting fuel to the rail & it's in specs & holding pressure. Fuel regulator is working. Put new crank & cam sensor in. I've got compression on all 8 cylinders in specs. Coil packs are putting out correct specs. Reset anti-theft system. I've tried staring fluid with & without throttle open. I've checked & even extra grounded it. It did act like it was going to start after replacing crank sensor. It also will hit if you unplug all 8 coil packs! Plugs are firing. I'll just about try any ideals!! Thanks for reading.

check the timing , not sure if there are timing marks , you'll probably need real time data on a analyser
