My 2001 sable theft light keeps coming on and my car keeps jerking and cutting off

This could be a weak battery causing this,or your anti theft system needs resseting.

Had the battery check its good and just tried to reset theft

May i ask how you tried to reset the anti theft??

I opened the driver door turn the key over then waited 10 min and thwn close the door and started the car

Try this,remove key from igntion,then remove the positive cable from battery for about ten minutes,then put key in car to the on position and then replace battery cable,should reset the anti theft.

Could,if it is a chip key,does it have numbers on key,if so it has chip,

I will say this to,usually if it were a antitheft system problem,it would not start at all,im thinking you may have a clogged fuel filter making it run bad and causing the light to come on.

My car wont crank over. I jus had a new fuel pump an fuel filter put on it but still won't let me crank car over. It's a 2002 mercury sable gs. How can I try to crank it over. I believe it has something 2 do with my anti theft cause my light keeps flashing.
