need to know about timing marks with tdc being at 11 oclock at crank,i have both sides of heads clocked but my chain marks dont coincide with marks on sprockets. ???

my marks that i made on both timing chains dont match up with my sprockets on cams.. my alldata book says. take timing chain off make a mark(crank), then count 29 mark, then another 42, mark again. take chain n install marks should match up...but they dont ... need help
