Just bought a used 1999 Marquis - found original code but think it has been changed. How can we get it reset and how much does it cost?

Think the original code may have been changed. How can we get it reset? How much does it cost to have it reset and get a new number or reset factory number?

Kelly & Tennisshoes - Thank you for responding. We are wondering the cost to have code reset. We found the original code card and the sticker in the trunk. We tried the number and the interior light and light on key pad came on but the code did not unlock the door.

Tennisshoes - thank you that was very helpful. Followed your instructions. The 7/8 and 9/0 locks all the doors so we know that it works. The code still doesn't unlock any doors though, not even a sound. Think we may have to go to a dealer and what it will cost. Thanks for your help.
