I have a 1999 Mercury Villager that won't start can it have anything to do with bad fuses

Won't crank? Cranks but won't start, Starts and dies? Starters, Batteries, fuses, fusable links, shoddy alarm systems, corroded battery terminals - there are a number of things that can prevent you from starting your car. Can you be a little more descriptive about what is happening or not happening?
