Where is the thermostat located

follow your upper radiator hose. Start from the radiator and follow it till it stops at the engine and you'll be at the thermostat. Hope this helps

99% of the time honda ASE master tech would be right, this is a new one on me. I checked and the '99 and the 2001 are the same 3.3

Matter of fact he is right..still at end of upper radiator hose I'm not sure why the diagram shows the timing
