i am thinking of buying a used 2005 galant..but dont know much about the car performance and fuel economy factor..need some help choosing the right car fitting into my budget, actuly considering that factor galant fits into my criterias, but want to know if there are any major/minor issues are associated with the car... can anybody help me??

hi Bernie, They actually get pretty good reviews from consumers. I think the biggest problem people have is with fuel economy. While the 4 cylinder gets decent gas mileage(23/30) the V6 models get fairly poor fuel economy (19/27), still not terrible though. Some people think the transmission could be a little smoother and you may take a little bit of a hit with the resale value, but overall its a decent car. Experts say that the 05+ model is finally a contender with the other cars in the segment, so improvements were made to the vehicle.
