Passenger floor wet a/c condensation dripping from under dash, how to fix?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 Galant has developed a problem where a/c condensation is dripping from somehwere under the dash on the passenger's side and making the carpet quite wet and mildewy. It's tied to the a/c system-definitely not the heater core/engine coolant. Is anyone familiar with this problem and what needs to be done? Thanks!

It sounds like your ac drain tube might be clogged. Locate it under the vehicle and try to clear it out with some wire.

Thanks.. I hope it's that. I'll crawl under the car and try to identify it. Do you know it's approximate location under the car? (Underneath front passenger floor, etc .) Thanks again

From what I've read in forums it seems to be located sticking out of the firewall near the rear motor mount on the drivers side. It's kinda hard to see but it should just look like a cut off piece of hose. You may also be able to pull back the carpet and acess it from the inside.
