Why wont my brake lights work

Sounds like a fuse/relay. There is also a switch attatched to the brake pedal at the top of the leaver.

I had same prob mine is left hand drive. there is a fuse box aboth the cluch peddle there is a bunch of wires coming out of it next to cluch peddle and the wires rub on the cluch peddle arm and wear the rubber out on the wires and mess with your electrics with out shorting fuses some times this caused me all sorts of probs for months I nearly got rid of my truck but fine now I have sorted wires going to fuse box next to cluch peddle I hope this helps people
