Lexus rx 350 battery problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the dead battery but car would not start.  Engine will not attempt to
catch.  Some instrument panel lights come on but nothing else works.  I tried to
jump but there was no difference.  Any ideas?   Lexus said it could be an
alternator but i don't  think that's necessarily so.  Please help.

If the check engine light is not on when trying to start the car, check fuses for ECM or PCM. If it is on then check fuses for fuel pump.

Also... be sure that you have all of the positive connections returned to the new battery after replacement. One wire left off could cause this.
