click-click engine sound in new 2020 Buick Enclave

Asked by FlyOne2 Nov 17, 2020 at 12:19 PM about the 2020 Buick Enclave

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a new 2020 Buick Enclave (less than 2,000 miles) which has a click-click
sound coming from the engine--top left --driver's side.  The dealership says it's
the high pressure fuel pump.  They replaced the original pump but did not help.
The sound does not begin until just after the engine begins to get tempature.
Once the sound begins and stays throughout running.

Contact another GM or Buick dealership if you don't trust the dealer you took it to first. Hard to say what the issue is with the information given. The vehicle is under warranty. If the dealer can't fix it after three attempt, you might be able to get a buyback via the lemon law.

My 2020 Buick Enclave does exactly the same thing. I have taken it in to the dealership twice, They initially told me they can't duplicate the noise, so I recorded it and played it back for them. They acknowledged that they could hear it but could not diagnose what was causing it. The last thing they said was I should wait until it gets worse so they can troubleshoot better. Really??? Trying to figure out my next move.
