sounds like a bad starter , is the starter getting power when you hit the key ?
We took that starter out and took it to the auto parts store and the checked it and it was fine we did the same with both starter solenoids I have no idea what it could be

does the solenoid wire get power when you hit the key for start ? ? If you don't test things you will never know what the problem is
We tested all of that when we touch the terminal of the started solenoid it generated a spark
