odometer moves and speedometer at 120 mph while in park! just started. no check engine light, no rpm fluctuations, and so far no sputtering or stalling? whats going on? and is it safe to drive?

yes safe to drive,sounds like the cluster has gone bad.u can get one at a junk yard it just has to be same year as yours,same engine,if it dont have a tac,dont get one with it.
is that hard to put in? or expensive to put in if i cant? thanks.
if you dnt need to tell how fast ur going, u dnt even nees to replace anything... in my younger days, my parents drove around in an '86 Bronco II with the same problem, they probly drove the truck with no speedometer for about 10 years lol... then the trany went nd tht was the end of our purple bronco... good memories... but thts beside the point... ur t-bird shud b fine...
ah, well. the problem stopped suddenly. it works now. so who knows.
sounds like a bad conection in cluster,not hard or expensive to replace.
