What is the purpose of the two rubber nodules on the front hood?
The Nissan Altima 2006 has two raised rubber nodules on the front hood. What are they
for? The latest models don't seem to have them.
These raised rubber nodules (assuming you mean those in the pic below) are your windshield wiper fluid outlets that squirt fluid onto the windshield. Haven't seen the newer Altima up close to see how it may be different in this regard though......
You're right...The newer ones definitely don't have the wiper fluid nodules of the hood ..gives the car a cleaner look...plus, helps with possible damage or obstruction that might be an issue otherwise (although it's never been a problem for me personally). Can't find pics of exactly where they're located now...most likely situated a lot closer to the wiper blades now.
I've never seen those on any altima. May be added by previous owner.
