Battery problems car not accelerating when driving

Asked by GuruVHFRZ Aug 26, 2018 at 12:25 PM about the 2004 Nissan Altima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This has been going on for months now. It started
when I was driving down the freeway and all of a
sudden I was pressing on the gas and it wouldn't
accelerate so I got off the freeway pulled over turn
the car off sat there for a few minutes trying to turn
the car on it wouldn't start couple minutes later
tried to turn it on it started & and accelerated fine.
Had it  towed to my mechanic anyway he kept it for
a few days couldn't find anything wrong with it
drove fine. About a month later same thing.  Was
told the battery was bad had it replaced then that
battery went bad put old battery back in drove fine
again for a couple weeks. Replace the battery
again had the alternator checked its good, battery
would go dead would have to have it charged.
Starter went bad replaced that. Then next day
battery problem again took it to AutoZone was
under warranty they replace the battery said it
wouldn't hold a charge.  No one seems to know
what is going on please help.
Also I have had issues with the head light
mechanic tried to fix it but said there something
wrong with the wiring. Could that be causing the
problem?

Scan for fault codes. I'm thinking throttle position sensor is going bad. Maybe other electrical problems that are intermittent.
