Nissan Xterra smells really weird

That's really strange I'm not exactly a mechanic wizard but
I do know my way around most cars.. With that said I have
never smelled this type of smell. You can only smell it
when the car is at operating temperature or drive it three
or four miles. It seems to be coming from the front of the
engine but  infront of the radiator

Wishing that was the worst of it but I can smell it being a chemical type of smell

when the engine is cold open the coolant reservoir and see if it is low as well as smell it to see if this is the smell. If so find the leak before you drive it to prevent an overheating situation and a blown head. If it is low and you repair the leak don't just fill it and put the cap back on. add more as it purges until it no longer recedes.wait a few minutes between continuing to fill. when you think it is full wait 20 minutes more.
