2003 Nissan Sentra - O/D light blinks/flashes when i turn on the start key.It will blink for 5 times

I own a 2003 Nissan Sentra. Recently, the  O/D light blinks/flashes when i turn on the start key.It will blink for 5 times and then goes off.I also feel that the car jerks when from initial drive to next gear...any idea on this?

From what I found, it seems to be a faulty speed sensor: You should plug a code reader and see what comes out.
