I have noticed that my AC blows cooler on the passenger side than on the drivers side. What would cause that? and, is it an early warning that AC might go out soon?

My Lexus 350 RX 2008 turns off when I turn on ac or heater. The belt looks fine. If it is compressor seizing, what should I expect repair costs to be? Any other idea what it could be?
