2013 Lexus ES350 won't start

Asked by GuruTW9TY Jun 17, 2018 at 03:27 PM about the 2013 Lexus ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The lights, dash and other electrical come on when I push the starter button,
but the car won't start.  It does make a clicking sound like it wants to turnover,
but it doesn't.  The GPS screen comes on and it says not to turn the power off
because the system is reloading.  After it finishes, nothing happens and the car
still doesn't start.

Sounds like a weak battery. I would test both the battery and the alternator. If that is the original battery you are due for a new one.

I just had the alternator assembly replaced on my 2013 ES350 ($950.00 including new battery). the garage i took it to said the alternator was not producing enough charging voltage which would put a drain on the battery. I probably could have gotten by with out replacing the alternator at this time. (??)
